Stage 1: Saint Jean Pied de Port to Roncesvalles | Camino de Santiago Frances with Jhonatan Barrios
Jhonatan Barrios wants to share with everyone the first stage of his exciting journey along the Camino de Santiago Frances, which runs from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Roncesvalles. This stage covers a total distance of 25 kilometres. He completed the whole Camino, an unforgettable experience, between 26 April and 26 May 2022. During that month, he experienced moments of reflection, joy and, at times, physical challenges.
In this first video he has prepared, Jhonatan shows his arrival in Roncesvalles after crossing the majestic Pyrenees. This stage was especially hard and demanding, since the route has steep climbs and some changing weather conditions that test any pilgrim’s endurance. However, despite the difficulties, the landscapes he saw along the way were simply spectacular. The natural beauty of these mountains left him breathless, and every view was a reminder of why he decided to undertake this journey.
Jhonatan hopes that by watching this video you can feel a little of what this experience was like for him, and perhaps it will inspire you to set out on your own path in the future. The connection with nature and the moments of tranquillity along the route are truly unique. He is excited to share these memories and hopes you enjoy the journey as much as he did.
