Its brick tower is the village&#8217;s landmark on the plain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">History<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>El Burgo Ranero<\/strong> appears in 11th- and 12th-century documents. The name is usually explained by the frogs, ranas, of its ponds, although another theory links it to a monastery \u00abgranja\u00bb, farm.
