the Camino<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"86\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Camino Frances<\/a><\/strong> passes through the upper part of the village, from where <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/pilgrims\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"5880\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pilgrims<\/a><\/strong> can already see the river plain and the first housing estates of the capital. It then continues to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/leon-province\/valdelafuente\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11609\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Valdelafuente<\/a><\/strong> and enters <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/leon-province\/leon\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11614\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Le\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong>, about six kilometres away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">History<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arcahueja, a hamlet of Valdefresno, belonged to the Hermandad de La Sobarriba, which united the villages of the district against the power of the city.
