href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/leon-province\/vega-de-valcarce\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11854\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vega de Valcarce<\/a><\/strong>, located in the westernmost part of the <strong>El Bierzo<\/strong> region, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caminodesantiagofrances.com\/en\/leon-province\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"6006\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Province of Le\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong>. This meeting of waters also symbolises the fusion of cultures, travellers and traditions that have given life to this place for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Ambasmestas on the Camino de Santiago<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ambasmestas is not just a village to pass through. Since the Middle Ages, it has been recognised as a <strong>place of welcome for pilgrims<\/strong>, offering shelter, food and rest at a crucial stage of the Camino.
