At that time, he was going through a difficult stage of depression, carrying a heavy weight of emotional pain. That pain had become part of him, something he knew he had to face, and every step he took toward Santiago de Compostela represented a small confrontation with the shadows weighing on him.

In the final chapter of his journey, Jorge faced the last 20 kilometres of the entire Camino Frances, after covering more than 800 kilometres across Spain. He began his journey in France and finally reached Santiago. One might think that after walking so far, he would arrive at his destination full of joy and satisfaction, but at first that wasn’t the case for him. His happiness only came when he understood that life had something special in store for him; he wasn’t going to arrive alone, and that meant everything to him when he received one of the most beautiful surprises life had given him.

The experiences and reflections he lived through are well documented in a docu-series, which allowed him to enjoy the Camino again, two years after having walked it. There is no doubt that Santiago, together with the whole pilgrimage, holds a special magic. It is well known that the Camino offers everything needed to grow, both inwardly and outwardly.

On this final stage, Jorge walked from O Pedrouzo to his final destination, the Catedral de Santiago in Santiago de Compostela. So closed a beautiful story that could be called a true drama, given everything he reflected on, suffered, and grew through with every step along this journey.

Jorge hopes everyone enjoys this experience as much as he did. He sends a big hug to his beloved family, whom he loves dearly. He also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who appears in the video and who gave permission for their image to be used to create this content. Thanks to them, the story can be told just as it was lived, full of meaningful moments that deserve to be remembered.

Buen Camino, pilgrims!

Camino de Santiago Francés

Video Chapter 12 | Arrival in Santiago de Compostela with Jorge de la Rosa Chapter 12 | Arrival in Santiago de Compostela with Jorge de la Rosa The Camino de Santiago Frances marked a turning point in the inner life of Jorge de la Rosa.
