Dreams by Claudia Martinez
On September 8th, all my emotions came together over 32 days and 779km walking from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, sharing every stage with people from different countries who became like family to me, and hostels that always welcomed us as if we were their own… every day was different, and every night was a rest and a chance to give thanks for a new day and a new adventure. The last day was tinged with sadness because a beautiful adventure was coming to an end — I arrived at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, which I had dreamed of, and it lived up to everything I had been told… I keep the farewells and the emotions as a treasure, and I hope to walk the Way of Saint James again — I will return.
