Zubiri Municipal Pilgrim Hostel
The Municipal Pilgrim Hostel of the Concejo de Zubiri is a place designed to welcome pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago Frances. This hostel belongs to the town council and sits at the end of the first stage of the Camino in Navarra.
It was renovated in 2020, and its outdoor areas were recently improved in 2024. It’s housed in what used to be the village school, surrounded by an enclosed area next to the local sports complex. It’s also right next to the municipal swimming pool, which pilgrims can enjoy during the summer months.
To reach the showers and facilities, you need to head to a building next to the hostel itself.
Zubiri, whose name means “village of the bridge” in Basque, is the capital of the Esteribar Valley and stands out as one of the most populated towns on this stretch of the Camino de Santiago in Navarra.
