Hello pilgrims!

The 2025 season of the Camino Frances is coming to an end.

Many hospitaleros and volunteers are now taking the chance to rest, after a whole year welcoming, listening to and accompanying thousands of pilgrims who have passed through their hostels. While they recover their strength, we want the Camino de Santiago to stay alive through its most valuable asset: your stories.

That’s why we’re launching a new initiative on our blog:

“A Story a Day”

Every pilgrim carries a different Camino de Santiago in their backpack.

We invite you to share yours and become part of A Story a Day on the Camino Frances.

Each day we’ll publish on the blog the testimony or experience of a pilgrim, sharing their journey on the Camino Frances.

We’ll also share the story on our social media so it reaches more pilgrims.

Your Camino de Santiago doesn’t need to have been in 2025: stories from previous years are also welcome. Every story has its own moment and value.

There’s no deadline. Once you send your story, we’ll most likely publish it in the following days and let you know when it’s live.

You can send your story in your native language; we’ll publish it in full in its original version and also in Spanish.

Want to take part?

It’s very simple:

Just fill in the form with your details, your story and a photo from the Camino Frances.

We’ll give priority to stories from pilgrims who follow us on our Instagram account @caminodesantiagofrances, where we’ll also share some of these stories so they reach more walkers and future pilgrims.

Or you can send it by email to relatos@caminodesantiagofrances.com

Terms of participation

  • The text must recount a personal experience on the Camino Frances and must not have been published elsewhere.
  • The story must be at least 500 words long.
  • You must include a good-quality photo taken during the Camino.

We want this space to be a meeting point for everyone who has experienced — or dreams of experiencing — the Camino Frances.

Buen Camino!
