What is there in O Pedrouzo

O Pedrouzo is the main village of the parish of Arca and of the municipality of O Pino, in A Coruna Province, on the Camino Frances.

For the vast majority of pilgrims, O Pedrouzo is the last night before Santiago: it is about 20 kilometres from the cathedral, just the right distance to arrive by midday for the pilgrim Mass, and here those on the Camino Frances, the Primitivo and the Norte all come together. That is why it is a modern town, with streets of hostels, guesthouses, supermarkets and restaurants, without great monuments but with a very special eve-of-arrival atmosphere, a mixture of tiredness and emotion. Its parish church of Santa Eulalia de Arca stands near the centre. A practical detail: the Camino does not go through the centre but passes through the woods to one side, so you need to detour a few minutes to sleep or shop. The next morning the route continues among eucalyptus towards O Amenal.

Distances from O Pedrouzo

From O Pedrouzo to O Amenal it is about 3.5 km.

To San Paio it is about 6 km.

And to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in Santiago de Compostela, about 20 km remain.
