Teiguín is a small village in the municipality of Samos, in Lugo Province, on the Camino Frances.
After visiting the monastery of Samos, the variant follows the road for a couple of kilometres, and Teiguín marks the exact point where pilgrims say goodbye to the tarmac. It is a cluster of a few houses, with no notable monuments or documented history of its own, but with an important practical role: here the Camino crosses to the bank of the river Sarria and heads back into meadows, oaks and slate hamlets such as Pascais and Freituxe, one of the quietest and greenest stretches of the day. From this point about nine or ten kilometres remain to Sarria, where the Samos variant rejoins the one via San Xil. Carry water, because services are scarce.
