Lestedo is a hamlet and parish in the municipality of Palas de Rei, in Lugo Province, on the Camino Frances.
With about ten residents, Lestedo is the head of a parish that also includes Portos, and its small church, simple and popular in style, is dedicated to Saint James and surrounded by the cemetery, a reminder of the strong presence of the Order of Santiago in this area. It also had a pilgrim hospital, promoted by the Ulloa family: the old rectory building was built for that purpose, later housed the parish priests and is now a rural guesthouse, so hospitality has never quite left. We are about 72 kilometres from Santiago, on a stretch of gentle hills and meadows. From here the Camino continues towards Os Valos, A Brea and the entrance to Palas de Rei.
